Durham, N.C. (May 3, 2025)- The Virginia State University men's track and field team ended CIAA Championships in third place scoring 93 points. 

Desmond Kirwa finished in third place in the 800-meter dash and 5000-meter run. Emmanuel Kipchirchir placed fifth in the 5000-meter run. Benedict Uzochukwu scored points in both the 400-meter hurdles and 110-meter hurdle events. 

Jahaz Morgan won the triple jump with a mark of 15.32 meters which is tenth best in Division 2. Keyontte Midgett placed second with a mark of 47.79 meters in the javelin throw.
