Baltimore, Md. (Apr. 19, 2025)- The Virginia State University Men's Track & Field team had an overall great performance at the Morgan State Legacy Meet. They had many top five finishes over the meet.
Desmond Kirwa finished 1st in the 800 with 1:51.71
Jalen Brownlee winning the 800m run with a 1:53.90.
Emmanuel Williams ran a personal best with a 4:18.85 in the 1500m.
The jumpers also had a respectable weekend.
Jahaz Morgan finished 1st in the Triple jumped 14.92m (48'11). He also finished 2nd in the Triple Jump with a season's best of 7.11m.
Joseph Briscoe finished 2nd in the High jump with a season's best of 2.00m (6'6)
The sprinters also had an amazing weekend. Amarion Harrell ran a season in the 400m dash with 47.99 and finished 1st overall.
Elijah Epps ran a personal best with a 49.81. The Throwers did well with
Charles Randolph doing well in the Shot Put his season opener with a 12.11 m (39'4")
Men's 4 x 100 finished 6th overall and ran a 42.30 (Leonie Bentley,
Jason Nartey, Reggie Bell, and
Jeryll Gaines)
