Leland, N.C. (Apr. 15, 2025)- The Virginia State University Golf team competed in the CIAA Championships over the past two days and placed fourth with a team score of +66. David Chavez placed first as an individual with a score of –1 (77,66,72). Chavez 66 is an unofficial lowest round in CIAA history. 

Juan Ruiz-Patino (77,78,75) placed tenth at +14 overall. Aidan Robertson placed tied for 24th, Michael McIntosh was tied for 31st and Roan Sidhu placed 33rd. As a team the Trojans were only one stroke from tying for third place with Virginia Union (+65).
