Anderson, S.C. (Apr. 5, 2024)- The Virginia State University women's lacrosse team played their last away game in their inaugural season as Anderson University would defeat VSU 17-3.Â
Anderson started off the game by scoring eight goals in the first quarter. Anderson would go into the halftime period up 13-0. VSU only had four total shots and one shot on goal in the first half. Â Virginia State would finally score a goal when Adrien Wise found the back of the net at 2:55 left in the third period making it 16-1. VSU would win the fourth quarter as Grace Hall and Adriana Davis both scored goals while Anderson only scored one goal in the fourth.Â
With the loss VSU drops to 4-6 and Anderson improves to 11-2. The team will conclude their season at home against Emory and Henry on Monday April 8 at 5:30 pm.Â
