The second set was a back and forth affair with VUU getting a four-point advantage 20-16. The Trojans were able to make it a one point game 24-23 with back-to-back kills from Helena Eubanks and Resse however the Panthers would win the set 25-22. Set three was the reverse of the second as VSU had a four-point lead 20-16. The Trojans would score five of the last seven points with four different players registering a kill.
