BOWIE, MD --The Virginia State Volleyball team (8-7) is red hot after earning their third straight conference sweep against Livingstone 3-0 on day one of the CIAA Roundup 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 26-18).

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Trojans took the advantage in the early goings as
Amaya Cooper landed a pair of kills to make it 13-6. Multiple Trojans contributed throughout the set to allow VSU to stay in front 18-13. The Trojans earned a service ace to end the match at 25-18.
SET 2 | The Trojans jumped out to a 5-1 lead to start off. A pair of kills from
Taniyah Epps made the score 15-9. The Blue Bears were able to fight back to make the score just 18-16. The Trojans would respond by scoring seven straight points to take set two 25-16.
SET 3 |Â VSU was able to open the third set with a 11-5 lead after
Makayla Berry landed a powerful kill. After the Blue Bears cut the lead to just one, the Trojans fought to get a little breathing room at 19-15. The Blue Bears went on to make a push scoring four in a row to take a 21-22 lead. The Trojans scored five of the last seven to take the third set 26-24.

What's Next
The Trojans will be right back on court #2 in Theordore McKeldin Gym to take on the defending CIAA Champions in Fayetteville State at 3:00 p.m. to conclude day one of the first CIAA Roundup.
