The Virginia State University (VSU) Women's Cross Country team look for a strong showing on Friday, October 14. The Trojans will be competing in Virginia Union Panther Invitational at Bryan Park in Richmond, Virginia and the meet will begin at 4pm. The women will start first, followed by the men.

The women are heading into this meet after earning another first place finish under their belt after dusting the competition in the VSU Trojan Cross Country Invitational on Friday, September 23. The Trojan scored 19 points with an average time of 21:01. The women also accomplished personal bests and season bests across the board.

Manuelene Deigh crossed the finish line first for the Trojans. Deigh placed first overall with a huge personal best of 20:16.2.

Manuela Deigh followed her lead placing second with a 20:36, which is a huge personal record for her as well.

Aladina Hyppolite crossed the finish line in fourth, finishing with a season best of 21:15.4.
Shashauna Valentine ran a 21:19.5 and finished fifth, earning herself a personal best. Ruby WIlliams finished her race in 21:41.8 to give her a seventh-place finish and a new personal best.
Sania Peterson agave herself a personal best after running a 22:29.3, which placed her in 10th place.
Emoni Coleman finished in 12th posting a time of 24:10.9.
Jordan Burzynski finished her race with a time of 25:01.0, placing her in 14
th.
