Box Score FLORENCE, SC- The Virginia State University baseball team suffered a 17-0 loss to the Patriots of Francis Marion University on March 9 in a 9 inning matchup.

Despite rookie Larry Stephens, Jr. taking the loss for the Trojans after pitching the first 3 innings, junior David Markins and sophomore Rodney Shell were able to give the team a total of 3 hits.

VSU will regroup and take the field in Columbia, SC to face Benedict College for a single 9 inning game. The first pitch is set for 1pm.
