ETTRICK, Va.- The VSU Trojan Softball team will make the journey down I-85 South to Raleigh, NC on Friday, March 4-6 to compete in their first road games of the season at the Shaw University Challenge. VSU is slated to play six games during the three day road trip.
The Trojans(0-3) are coming off a 0-7 loss on Feb. 21 to Salem International in their second home game of the season. VSU looks to snap the three-game losing streak beginning with Queens College on Friday at 6 p.m. The Royals are 5-9 on the season and 1-0 at home.
The Trojans are hitting .180 as a group, and are led by junior outfielder DeMone Brickhouse with .333 batting average. The Trojans have five pitchers on this year's roster.

LaTasha Branch, VSU looks to enhance their season after a slow start in the matchups against West Chester and Salem International.
The Trojans will take on the following teams in the 3 day challenge:

March 5 Shaw University 4pm
March 6 Georgia College & State 10am
March 6 Virginia Union 2pm
