MENS OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD PLACE THIRD AT SEASON OPENER VCU RAM INVITE

FINAL RESULTS
RICHMOND, VA. – The Trojan men's outdoor track and field team represented Virginia State University in the VCU Ram Invite on March 21. The Trojans placed third overall with 96 points.

Junior Te'Shad Chambers took the first place title in the 400m with a time of 47.33. Sophomore Lawrence Harris placed second in the 100m with a time of 10.91 and placed third in the 200m with a time of 21.84.

Senior Justin Williams cleared his way to second place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.97 followed by fellow teammates junior Arthur Ashton finishing fourth and sophomore Micah Todd finishing sixth.

Sophomore Zakari Greene ended off the field events with a third place finish in the pole vault followed by rookie Marcus Hudson finishing fourth in the shot put.

In the relays, the Trojans finished in the top three in the 4x100 with a time of 41.85 and the 4x400 with a time 3:18.03.

VSU will be heading back to Richmond, Va. for the Fred Hardy Invite on March 27-28.
