BOWIE, Md.- The Lady Trojans were victorious in their first CIAA Divisional volleyball match against Bowie State. The Lady Trojans took advantage early to rally a 3-0 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

Diamond Simpson recorded 11 assists in her CIAA debut and senior setter
Jasmine Henderson added 17. Freshman
Dierdre Carter recorded a match-high of 10 kills and senior
Aubree Parker added seven kills. Middle Blockers
Brianna Small (Junior) and
Alexsys Pullen (Freshman) added five kills each. Freshman libero,
Adriana Hazou, cleaned up the back row with 14 digs. The Lady Trojans collectively hit a .361 and recorded nine service aces.
The Lady Trojans improve to 5-5 overall and 4-0 in conference. They will continue CIAA Divisional play next Monday Sept. 23 in their home opener against rival Virginia Union at Daniel Gymnasium.
