RESULTS

Adam Clary (Sr./ Gasburg, VA) won the CIAA Northern Division Tournament with a two-round score of 152(+8) at the Lake Chesdin Golf Course in Chesterfield, VA. The Trojans placed first overall with a score of 631.

Virginia State (631) led the entire tournament after posting a first round score of 319 and then following with a second round score of 312. Chowan (654) jumped into second place with a second round score of 324 just ahead of Fayetteville State's (661) third place finish. Virginia Union (670) placed fourth, St. Augustine's (676) fifth, Johnson C. Smith (707) sixth, Livingstone (805) eighth, and Elizabeth City State (873) ninth to round out the event.

Adam Clary carried the Trojans in both rounds to a victory. He was tied for second place individually after round one with a 77. Livingstone's Lawerence McWenzie shot a 75 to lead the pack. In the second round, Virginia Union's Mason Simpson shot a 74, while Virginia State's Adam Clary shot a 75 and Omari Howard followed with a 76 for the top three scores.

Virginia State was able to hold off Chowan with a 12 stroke lead, winning the CIAA Northern Division Tournament. Benjamin Shields and Adam Clary were named to the All-Tournament Team along with Livingstone's Lawerence McWenzie, Virginia Union's Mason Simpson, and Fayetteville State's Jacob Barge and Brnadon Jobe.
