Biography
Guard James Vann was named Virginia State’s Male Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance in a 71-65 victory at Cheyney on Nov. 16. The Norfolk, Va., native tied for game-high scoring honors with 13 while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out three assists in the win. The sophomore made 5-of-9 shots from the field and connected on 2-of-3 from three-point range and made his only free throw attempt.
