Ricardo Marsh joined Virginia State University as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach in 2021-22. The 2023-24 season will mark Marsh's third season as an assistant under the leadership of Head Coach Lonnie Blow, Jr.
Coach Marsh has helped a pair of VSU student-athletes (Francis Fitzgerald and Terrence Hunter-Whitfield) to consecutive All-CIAA honors in 2021-22 and 2022-23. In 2022-23, the Trojans finished 17-11 overall and a 10-6 mark in conference play, which earned Virginia State a first-round bye in the 2023 CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
Prior to VSU, Coach Marsh founded “Ricardo Marsh Training’ where he offered a wide range of basketball and personal training services. Marsh was the Executive Director of Team Marsh Athletics, which has a direct affiliation to Boo Williams. The North Carolina native also served as the CEO of Ricardo Marsh Training, llc.
Ricardo Marsh has played professionally overseas in Turkey, Japan, Israel, Latvia, Ukraine, Serbia, and Dubai as well as a stint with the Atlanta Hawks. He led the Israel Basketball Premier League in scoring in 2007 while earning all-star appearances and national championships.
Marsh is an Old Dominion University graduate with a background in Sports Management.
