LOCK HAVEN, PA --The Virginia State volleyball team could not out-play a dynamic Bald Eagles offense Friday on the road losing to Lock Haven (PA) in straight sets (19-25, 17-25, 20-25).
The non-conference loss moved Virginia State to 2-3 on the season.

SET 1 | The Trojans opened up an early one set to none lead, winning a tight first set 25-23. Virginia State trailed by as many as seven points, but grabbed the advantage for good at 23-22 in a set that showcased two lead changes before the Trojans took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 2 | Virginia State won the second set 25-23 to quickly take a 2-0 lead. The Trojans grabbed control of the set lead early on at 2-1 and never looked back. Virginia State led by as many as seven points at 10-3 before finishing off the set. Virginia State's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Thomas Jefferson attacks in the stanza and capitalizing on 11 Thomas Jefferson attacking errors on the way to victory.
