"We want young people in our surrounding communities to experience Virginia State University and see themselves here," said
Tiffani-Dawn B. Sykes, Assistant Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. "Athletics gives us a unique opportunity to bring people to our campus, build stronger connections with our community and increase the visibility of everything VSU has to offer. We hope these students come for the football game, enjoy the experience and leave wanting to learn more about Virginia State."
The initiative supports
GREATER by Design, Virginia State University's 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, and its priority to expand the visibility and impact of the University's distinct value and brand. By welcoming students from neighboring school divisions to campus, VSU Athletics continues to use intercollegiate athletics as a platform to strengthen community relationships and introduce prospective students to the University.
Complimentary admission applies only to eligible high school students for the three designated games. A school-issued student ID is required for entry.
