Ettrivk, VA (Sept. 29, 2025) --The Virginia State volleyball team took care of business in three sets (25-9, 25-9, 25-11) to take down the Lincoln (PA) Lions Monday at home at Multipurpose Center.
The win moved the Trojans' record to 3-7 overall and 2-0 in CIAA play.
Gracie Darville finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Trojans offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .727. got 10 digs from Adrianna Bacon to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Trojans took control of the set-one lead at 3-2 and never looked back to win 25-9. Virginia State opened up its biggest lead, 16 points, to finish off the set. Virginia State also supplemented their offense with four aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | Virginia State took the second set 25-9 to promptly grab a 2-0 lead. The Trojans grabbed control of the set lead early on at 3-2 and never trailed. Virginia State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 16 points, to close out the set, collecting 15 kills while only committing two attack errors in the process. The Virginia State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Virginia State finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after taking the third set. The Trojans scored first and never trailed in the set to secure a 25-11 victory. Virginia State ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, 14 points, to close out the set.
