Ettrick, Va. (Apr. 18, 2025)- The Virginia State University Men's Lacrosse team honored Travis McDonald and graduate assistant Sarai Reyes-Roman pregame before dropping a match 21-4 against Catawba University (9-5).
The Trojans scored first after Miles Jackson found Elijah Bryant and he got it past the goalie. Catawba would score the next nine goals before Bryant scored the first goal of the second stanza. The Indians continued to pull away with Donovan Elmore and Kalani Luaghlin both scoring goals in the fourth quarter. McDonald ended his senior day with one ground ball and two caused turnovers.
The Trojans ended their second season with a 3-11 record.
Senior Day Recognition
Travis "Mac" McDonald a graduate student from College Park, Georgia. He has started in all games this season collecting 25 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers. He recorded an assist at Davis & Elkins on February 22.
Graduate Assistant Sarai Reyes-Roman. Sarai has been on staff for the past two seasons learning under Coach Shaun Church. She was also a member of the inaugural women's lacrosse team here at VSU last season where she scored 16 goals and recorded seven assists.
