Ettrick, Va. (Mar. 11, 2025)- The Virginia State University Men's Lacrosse team completed their five game home stand against Emmanuel and dropped the game 18-3.
The Lions started the game scoring six straight goals before John Goebel found the back of the net with one minute before halftime. Emmanuel then scored eight straight goals to take control of the game 14-1. Donovan Elmore and Andre Bigham added back-to-back goals within a minute of each other.
The Trojans had 35 shots in total but only 15 on goal whereas EU had 48 total shots and 36 on goal. Jace Wiggins finished with 16 saves in goal and Brandon Patterson played the final 12 minutes and recorded his first two career saves. Jayden Reid had a good day in the face-off winning 13-24 and picking up nine ground balls which was a game high.
The Trojans hit the road for a game against Chowan on Wednesday March 19 at 3 p.m.
