Ettrick, Va. (Nov. 6, 2025) – In their inaugural season in the USCAA, the Virginia State University Women's Soccer Team has earned a bid to the 2025 USCAA Soccer Small College National Championship, set to take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Before heading to championships, the Trojans will close out play at Rogers Stadium as part of the CIAA Women's Cup.
Morgan Parris leads the Trojans offensively with five goals and 11 points, while four other Trojans have scored multiple goals this season. Loryn Sturgis leads the team with two assists, and in goal, Tianna Roberts has totaled 79 saves, posting a 73.2% save percentage and recording two shutouts.
Joining VSU in the USCAA Championship field is the University of Maine Fort Kent, Shaw University, and Bryant & Stratton College–Syracuse. The Trojans have previously faced Shaw six times in program history, but will meet both Maine Fort Kent and Bryant & Stratton–Syracuse for the first time in program history.
Tournament play begins Friday, November 14, with Game 1 scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and a consolation game held Saturday, November 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the Montour Junction Sports Complex. The championship game is set for Sunday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
Ticket sales will be done through Ticketmaster and there will be no onsite sales at Montour Junction. A Single Day Pass is $15 and a Tournament Pass is $45. Parking at Montour Junction will be free and at Highmark Stadium has a $5 parking fee.
The week's events will also include the USCAA All-American Awards Ceremony on Thursday evening, which will be closed to fans but live-streamed at www.uscaasportsnetwork.com—the same platform that will broadcast all championship games live.
