Defensive Standoff: VSU and E&U Battle 
 

Petersburg, VA.- In a tightly contested match that ended in a stalemate, Virginia State University and Emory & Henry College battled to a draw on Wednesday, September 18. Both teams showcased impressive defensive skills, making for an engaging afternoon.

The match kicked off with a strong defensive posture from both sides. The Trojans recorded six shot attempts in the first half, while the Wasps managed three. As the second half unfolded, E&H began to assert more control, registering seven shot attempts compared to VSU's four, dominating possession for 60% of the half.

Despite the increased pressure from E&H and several opportunities to break the deadlock, neither team could find the back of the net. Key saves from goalkeepers and resilient defensive efforts ensured the match concluded at 0-0. With this draw for VSU brings the overall to 0-2-1 and Emory & Henry overall to 0-3-1.
