Petersburg, VA – The Virginia State University Men's Soccer team fought valiantly but ultimately fell short against Chowan University, losing 4-1 in a thrilling encounter. With this defeat, the Trojans' record drops to 0-2-0, while the Hawks improve to 1-0-1.
The game, held in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, was a showcase of high-paced action and intense competition. Virginia State started strongly, creating three promising opportunities in the first half, but found the Hawks' defense impenetrable. Despite their early pressure, the Trojans were unable to find the back of the net before the break.
In the second half, Virginia State made their mark with a goal from Eddison Duolo, assisted by Daniel Sebastine in the 53rd minute. The goal provided a boost for the Trojans, but their attempts to build on this momentum were thwarted.
