The Trojans baseball team entered the NSAC Tournament as the #3 Seed.  They opened the tournament vs #2 MACU with freshman Gavin Stevens getting the start on the mound. The Trojans opened the scoring in the third inning. Dawsyn Hock hit a double to the right field wall scoring two runs. Holding on to a two run lead, the Trojans would add to the lead in the sixth inning. Victor Johnson hit a double scoring Gene Ligon. Avante Banks extended the lead with a sacrifice fly scoring Jamari Pooler. Next batter following Banks RBI would be Jimmyll Williams who doubled to plate Johnson giving the Trojans a 5-0 lead. Gavin would continue to keep the Trojans in control throwing the complete game as he has a shutout going into the ninth inning. He would walk away with a 5-2 victory striking out 8, scattering 5 hits. Terrance McGowan collected to hits to lead the offense. The Trojans now face Lighthouse Christian today at 12pm. Winner advances to the championship. The loser will have to face Newport News Apprentice in a 4pm elimination game.
