Raleigh, N.C. (Apr. 30, 2024)- The New South Conference has put out its 2024 All-Conference Selections and seven different Trojans earned nods.
Joseph Hastings, a junior pitcher was the ace of the Trojans staff. He made 15 appearances on the mound recording two wins in 72.2 innings. He finished the regular season with 84 strikeouts.
Christian Henderson a senior infielder and pitcher, hit .248 with 32 hits, three doubles and 18 RBI's. He scored 19 runs. On the mound he made 12 appearances, winning three games in 52.1 innings.
Norman Jackson, a sophomore infielder, hit .258 this season. He totaled 25 hits, two doubles and a triple while scoring 12 runs. He brought in 19 runs of his own while defensively he recorded 86 total putouts.
Victor Johnson, a sophomore outfielder, hit .247 with 24 total hits, five doubles, one triple and two home runs with 17 RBI's. Playing primarily in the corner outfield he recorded 75 total putouts
TJ McGowan, a junior first baseman, hit .337 with 30 hits, seven doubles a triple and 12 RBI's. He scored 15 runs and on the defensive side had 141 total putouts.
Jamari Pooler, a junior infielder, had 21 hits with six doubles and four home runs with a .204 average. He was also lethal on the bases as he swiped 17 total bags.
Jimmyll Williams, a freshmen utility player, had the best average on the team at .355 with 49 total hits, 10 doubles and two home runs and triples. He had 22 RBI's and scored 33 runs. In the field he played in every position except for first base, and he recorded 111 total putouts.
The team will play their first game in the NSAC tournament on Thursday at 3 pm against Mid-Atlantic Christian.
