Ettrick, Va (Apr. 17, 2024)- The Virginia State University baseball team welcome Mid-Atlantic Christian to Whaley Colbert Field on Thursday April 18 at 4 pm. 

The Trojans are coming off a four-game sweep at the hand at Lincoln University while the Mustangs are coming off a series win over Carolina University. VSU sits at 11-23 overall and MAC stands at 19-18. 

Jimmyll Williams leads Virginia State with a .363 batting average and a .984 OPS. He also leads the team with 22 steals. On the mound Joseph Hastings in the ace of the staff with a 3.69 ERA and has 77 strikeouts. His batting average against is at .203 percent. The Mustangs have four different players hitting over .300 and two have an OPS over 1.000 percent. Colin Langley has the best ERA on the Mustangs staff with a 2.29 in 49 innings pitched. 

In the last meeting between the two teams on March 1 the Mustangs managed to beat the Trojans 7-5.
