ETTRICK, VA - The VSU Baseball team has been on a solid path this season as they earn a seventh place ranking in the Black College Nines' Small School Division Top 10 2023 Poll for Week One Poll Through games of 3/05/23. The squad is currently 9-7 after splitting series with Mansfield, Shepherd and Northern Vermont University-Lyndon. 

The Trojan Baseball team will have some time off before traveling down to Wilson, NC next week on Tuesday, March 13 for a game against Barton starting at 3:00 p.m.

About the 2023 Black College World Series
 The Trojans are playing for a Black College World Series birth as the top-eight HBCU small colleges will get he chance to compete for a HBCU Baseball title in Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama (home of the Tampa Bay Rays Double-A affiliate Montgomery Biscuits). The format will feature two divisions, one bracket of four NCAA Division II teams and one bracket of four NAIA teams with each play a double-elimination format and winners of each division face off in a one game playoff to determine a champion. The double elimination tournament will be help May 10 – 13, 2023.
