 The Short Story: The Trojans unfortunately allowed a run in every inning in the game. The Trojans threw six pitchers on the mound in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bulldogs scored a run on a sacrifice fly ball into left field to go up 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
  • Barton would extend their lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning after two runs came in to score on an error made in right field.
  • Three runs came in to score in the bottom of the third inning after a solo homerun into right field and a two-run home run into straight away center field to make it 6-0.
  • Another run came across in the bottom of the fourth inning with a double into right field to make the score 7-0.
  • The Bottom of the fifth inning saw another run come across on a fielder's choice to make the score 8-0.
  • Barton pushed past yet another run in the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to a single into left field to extend their lead to 9-0.
  • In the bottom of the seventh inning, Barton homered into left field to take a 10-0 lead.
  • The Bulldogs went on to score their eleventh run in the bottom of the eight innings on a sacrifice fly ball into right field to make the score 11-0.

The Trojans will get ready to host a three-game series this weekend against Claflin. The Trojans and the Panthers are scheduled to play a double header on Saturday, March 18 starting at 1:00 p.m. before a single nine inning game on Sunday, March 19 starting at 1:00 p.m.
