Ettrick, Va. (Nov. 13, 2023)- The Virginia State volleyball team has earned a spot in the CIAA tournament with a 10-15 overall record and 9-8 conference record. They will take on the Falcons of St. Augustine's who finished with a 12-12 record and 12-6 conference record. 

The Trojans are led by Kennedy Hoge and Helena Eubanks who scored 227 and 213.5 points respectfully. Eubanks leads the team with 2.65 kills per set for a total of 196 kills. Peyton Reese (385) and Leila Jackson (282) are the only two players on the roster with triple digit assists. Reese averages almost five assists per set and Jackson averages just under four assists per set. 

St. Augustine's is lead by Madison Jones who has 343 points and averaging 3.7 kills per set. Sydney Moore, the setter for the Falcons has totaled 759 assists which is 8.16 assists per set. In the only past match-up this season for teh Trojans and Falcons was at the CIAA Round-up with VSU emerging victorious 3-1.

The game is set for Tuesday Nov. 14 with a start time of 6 p.m.
