Series History
The VSU Trojans are 13-8 against the LC Lady Blue Bears in the series. The teams met last season, where the Trojans took an 65-56 road loss to the Lady Blue Bears.

The Trojans are 6-7 on the season, 2-2 in the CIAA, under the leadership of VSU's 1^st year head coach Nadine Domond. On Jan 5, VSU fell short of a win against the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams with a final score of 64-53. The squad currently shoots 35% from the field and is averaging 62 points per contest. They rank third in the conference in free throw percentage knocking down 72% of their shots from the foul line and are second in the conference with a turnover margin of 4.7. They look to improve from behind the arc as they shoot just 62-of-244 (25%) from the three-point line.

Scouting the LC Lady Blue Bears
Livingstone is 4-9 on the season, 0-4 in the CIAA after a Jan. 5 loss against Elizabeth City State. The Lady Blue Bears are averaging 66 points per game while allowing 69. Collectively, they are shooting 37% from the field, 26% from three-point range and 58% from the foul line. LC averages 341 rebounds and 12 assists per game. They also are averaging 21 turnovers per game while allowing opponents to score 19 points off turnovers. They have averaged 11 steals and 2 blocks on the season. Jamiah Lane leads the Lady Blue Bears averaging 9.7 points per game, while Alexis Lake controls LC's boards (5 per game) and Andresia Alexander leads in assists (3 per game).
