MECHAINICSVILLE, VA – The Virginia State Women's Cross-Country team finished in 12
th place Saturday morning at the Spider Alumni Open Women's 4k in Pole Green Park.
The VSU women's Cross-Country team earned 351 points, which placed them in 12
th place.
Manuelene Deigh was the first Trojan to finish the race as she crossed the finish line at 16.11.1 with a 6:30.7 mile split, which placed her in 89 place of 152 competitors.
A place away came
her twin sister Manuela Deigh finishing in a time of 16:20.1 with a 6:34.3 split which placed her 91
st.
Alandina Hyppolite finished her race in 16:33.8, with a 6:39.8 mile split which gave her a 100
th place finish.
Shashauna Valentine finished in 108
th place after finishing in 16:48.6, with a 6:45.8 mile split.
Ruby Williams finished her race in 17:27.6 with a 7:01.4 mile split which gave her a 115
th place finish.
Emoni Coleman concluded her first race as a Trojan in 19:20.1 with a 7:46.7 mile split which placed her 134
th.
Sania Peterson finished a place behind in 136
th posting a time of 19:28.0 with a 7:49.9 mile split.
Jordan Burzynski rounded out the race for the Trojans finishing in 137
th place behind a time of 19:34.9 with a 7:52.7 mile split
The Trojans Men's and Women's Cross-Country teams will be back in action September 9 as they get ready to play host to the Virginia State University Fall Cross-Country Opener at 4:00 p.m.
