ETTRICK, VA – Virginia State football's Offensive Lineman,
Matthew Foster, was recognized by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association as the Food Lion's Week #2 Football Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Foster anchored an offensive line that helped the Trojans gain 566 yards of total offense, the most in the CIAA through two weeks.

Kimo Clarke (71) achieved career-high rushing yardage en route to 401 yards on 50 rushes as a backfield in the 28-7 win against visiting Bluefield State. In addition, on 23 passing attempts, the Trojans surrendered just one sack.
Virginia State will be right back in Rogers stadium to open conference play against the Falcons of St. Augustine's on Saturday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m.
