ETTRICK, VA – After two dormant years, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host the 2022 Football Media Day circuit on Wednesday, July 20th at the Holiday Inn - Valley View in Roanoke, Virginia.

The 2022 Virginia State University Football season will be the commencement of an era, the Frazier Era. Dr. Henry Frazier, III was named the 26th Head Football Coach of the Virginia State Football team on May 10, 2022 and looks forward to leading the Trojans this season.

As Coach Frazier and senior running back Darius Hagans (Chesapeake, VA) are representing the Trojans at the media day circuit.
 

Each of the CIAA's twelve head football coaches and a returning player from each school will  discuss the outlook of their respective programs and expectations for the upcoming season. This year's event will be highlighted by the release of the CIAA preseason football all-conference team along with the predicted order of finish and television schedule for the 2022 season. The circuit will also feature additional sessions for Q&A between head coaches, players, and the media. CIAA Football Media Day will open at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude with remarks from CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams-Parker.
