Trojans Play Best Round of the Season Against ECSU in Final Preparation Before CIAA Championship

ETTRICK, VA– The VSU Trojan Golf team took down the Vikings of Elizabeth City State in the Trojans vs. Vikings Round-Up Saturday, April 9 at Dogwood Trace Golf Course. 

The Trojans finished the Trojans vs. Vikings Round-Up shooting +37 with a one round total of 325 while Elizabeth City State shot +136 with a team stroke of 424.

Juan Ruiz - Patino earned first place shooting +2 with a one round stroke of 74 which was his best round of the season.

Esteban Arango tied for second place after shooting +6 with a one round total of 78 which was also his season-high. Andrew Rhodes shot +14 and finished with a one round total of 86 which placed him fourth. In fifth place came Zahmel Wright shooting +15 with a one round total of 87. Simeon Sledge placed sixth as he shot +16 while finishing with a one round total of 88.
 
The Trojans will be back in action Thursday and Friday, April 14-15 to compete in the CIAA Championship in Dunn, NC on the Chicora Golf Course.
