DUNN, NC - The Virginia State University golf team finished the 2022 CIAA Golf Championship with a team score of 653 while shooting +85. Of the eight teams competing for the Championship Title, the Trojans finished in fourth place.


Juan Ruiz - Patino was named to the 2022 All-CIAA Golf Team as he finished in 11^th place with a two round stroke of 153 (75 & 78) and shot +11. Next came Esteban Arango Suarez moving up to a tie for 14^th place shooting +17 with a two round stroke of 153 (75 & 78). In 25^th place was Zahmel Wright shooting +29 with a two round stroke of 171 (88 & 83). Simeon Sledge ended with a two round stroke 172 (83 & 89) and was +30 which allowed him to tie for 26. Andrew Rhodes finished just behind Sledge in 28^th place shooting +33 with a two round stroke of 175 (86 & 89).
