ETTRICK, VA – A 15-4 run to end the first half propelled the Trojans over the Falcon 70-59. The Trojans outrebounded the Falcons 43-31. The squad earned season-high's after shooting 9-of-16 (56.3%) from downtown and 11-of-15 (73%) from the free throw line. They also accounted for four blocks for the second straight.
Francis "BJ" Fitzgerald earned his second double-double of the season after ending with a game-high 19 points along with 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. He shot 7-of-11 (54.5%) from the field and knocked down a game-high four three-pointers on seven attempts. Terrence Hunter-Whitfield was just a point behind his partner-in-crime as he finished with 18 points on 7-of-11 (63.6%) from the field and 1-of-2 (50%) from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds and tied for the game-high four assists along with two steals. Zach Newkirk continues to show his consistency after going 2-of-2 (100%) from the three-point line along with two assists and two steals. Stephan Morris finished with a season-high nine rebounds with eight points in the win against SAU. Chris Hampton scored a career-high six points with three rebounds and a block. Tremere Brown scored six points and grabbed five rebounds.
