RALEIGH, NC – The Trojans are set to take the road as they travel to take on Shaw University. The Trojans are coming off a win against Virginia Union on Thursday October 27^th. The match is set to be played at the C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Last Time Out
The Trojans played another great match as they swept Virginia Union last time out. Amaya Cooper had a great match as she led the team in kills with nine. Zaria Irons and Kelsea Saulny both had a great game as well Irons turned in five kills and Saulny had six kills. The dynamic duo of Emma Quarles and Makenzy Johnson had 33 assists combined with Quarles having the upper with 17 to Johnson's 16. Helena Eubanks had one dig shy of tying her career high in digs with 12.

Helena Eubanks leads the offensive side for the Trojans as she has a team-high 227 kills which ranks her fourth in the CIAA. Amaya Cooper with 208 kills, Alexis McNair with 131 kills, and Zaria Irons with 101 kills are the other three Trojans with triple-digits kills on the season. Emma Quarles leads the Trojans in assists with 433. Makenzy Johnson leads the team in service aces with 35. Defensively, Williams also leads the Trojans as she has a team-high 400 digs with 3.96 digs per set and a .905 receiving percentage which ranks her first in the entire CIAA. Hoge is second on the team in digs with 203. Cooper leads the Trojans in blocks 53 which would place her fourth in blocks in the CIAA. As a team the Trojans are second in kills with 1,051 and second in digs with 1,381.
 

Scouting the Opponent – Shaw Bears
The Bears are coming into match with a record of 18-7 (13-1 CIAA) and sit one spot ahead of the Trojans in the standings. On the offensive side, they are led by Noelani Beard who has a team-high 183 kills which ranks her sixth in the CIAA. Breelyn Clark leads the team in assists with 532 averaging 9.33 per set. Mallory Brown leads the team with 38 service aces which places her second in the CIAA. Defensively, Kaylin Evans leads the team with a team-high 185 digs and Cheyenne Hodges leads the team in blocks with 61.
