MURFREESBORO, NC – After outscoring Chowan 28-15 in the second half, the Hawks were able to steal one late in the fourth quarter 43-40. As the Trojans took their first lead of the game with :48 left to go, the Hawks completed a 51-yard pass to set them up for a touchdown that was scored with just :20 to go in the contest.

- Jordan Davis threw for a career-high 301 yards after completing a career-high 24-of-37 (65%) of his passes with a pair of touchdowns through the air.
- For the third straight game, Tyrone Fisher earned double-digit tackles as he ended his night with 10 tackles (five solo) along with a half of a tackle-for-loss.
- Roy Jackson, III led the receiving core with 73 yards on just three catches along which included a 47-yard catch and run into the end zone. Tylique Ray added six grabs for 66 yards while Malik Hunter earned a career-high five catches for 54 yards in the loss.

FIRST HALF
- The Hawks were able to strike first on their opening drive scoring on a 17-yard run up the middle to take a 7-0 with 11:01 left to go in the first quarter.
- Following a three-and-out by the Trojans, the Hawks blocked a punt and took it 11 yards to the endzone for touchdown to go up by 14-0 with 2:07 left to go in the first quarter.
- After Jordan Davis connected with Jaylon Dean for 19 yards then 18 yards to Malik Hunter, it gave a first and goal opportunity on their one yard line. On fourth and one, Kimo Clarke plunged up the middle for a one-yard touchdown run to make the score 14-6 with 12:57 left to go in the second quarter.
- The Hawks answered with a seven-yard rush to the endzone to extend their lead to 21-6 with 10:07 in the first quarter.
- The Trojans capped a 10-play, 50-yard drive with a two-yard rush up the middle to make the score 21-12 with 6:30 left in the second quarter.

- Chowan would go on to build on their lead with a 11-yard rush up the middle to make the score 35-26 with 5:21 left in the fourth quarter.
- On the ensuing drive, Jordan Davis and Roy Jackson, III connected on a 47-yard pass to shorten the lead to just 35-33 with 3:35 left in the fourth quarter.
- Just two plays into the following drive, Willie Drew earned his fifth interception of the season with 2:42 left to go in the fourth quarter.
- The Trojans would capitalize on the turnover as Upton Bailey scored on a screen pass with Bruno Onwuazor leading the way for him. The Trojans took their first lead of the game 40-35 with :52 left to go in the contest.
