VSU Football Earns Huge Victory Over ECSU 34-12

ELIZABETH CITY, NC – VSU Football's sound play allowed the squad to earn the divisional win 34-12 at Elizabeth City State. VSU earned 278 rushing yards in the contest while allowing just 11 first downs.

  • Zion Johnson earned a career-high 15 tackles (six solo) along with three tackles for loss and a half of a sack in the win.
  • Upton Bailey led the charge in the running game as he earned his first career 100-yard rushing game as rushed for 115 yards on just 14 carries. Darius Hagans made major contributions on the ground and through the air accounting for 111 rushing yards on 19 carries with a touchdown. He also led the team with 51 receiving yards on four catches. Kimo Clarke also found his way back to the endzone as this is the third game straight he has earned a rushing touchdown.
