Last Time Out
The Trojans of VSU were able to stay within striking distance in the beginning stages of mid - week matchup until the seventh ranked University of Mt. Olive was able to pull away. The first run of the game was driven in by Joshua Tayman which makes a team - high nine RBI for him in nine games this season. UMO would match that run at the bottom of the first inning. Carl Granderson would knock in a run at the top of the second inning to give the Trojans the lead 2-1. UMO would go on to score 16 unanswered points between the 2nd and 7th innings to make the final score 17 - 2 in favor of Mt. Olive.
