Trojans win the day as they beat the Lincoln University (Pa) Lions in back to back games

ETTRICK, VA (March 6, 2021) – 
Game 1
VSU trailed the Lions 2-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning until Joshua Tayman picked up the season's first run batted in after drawing a walk with bases loaded to score Carl Granderson. In the same inning with two outs, Jeremiah Hardy also drew a walk that would score Tayvon Dawson to knot it up at 2 all. After Hardy held off the bats of the Lions, Tayman singled through the right side to bring Granderson in for the winning run.

Game 2
The Trojans jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning thanks to a heads up play from Hardy advancing home on a double play ball. The very next inning, VSU added two more runs after a Henderson single. At the bottom of the fifth inning with the bases loaded, Aaron Harris would clear the base paths with a double. Later that same inning, Henderson and Tayman would bring in a run a piece to push the lead out to 8-0. Despite the deficit, the Lions had not lost hope as they would go on a rally of their own at the top fifth inning. The rally was short lived as they were only allowed to bring four home. In the end, the Trojans would hold the Lions off for the last two innings to secure their second victory of the day.
