Game 1
The pitcher's duel that was game one ended with the Trojans coming up just one run short. The game opened with Bluefield State attaining the first run due to CJ Cooper's activity on the base paths. Cooper stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and advanced home on a wild pitch as well to make the score 1-0 at the top of the first inning. At the top of the third inning, BSC would see JR McRee drive a 2-0 pitch to the shortstop,
Carl Granderson, to allow the run from third base to come in to score to make the score 2-0 at the top of the third inning. The first run of the day for the Trojans came by way of a throwing error from the catcher which allowed
Kevin Russell to score while
Cecil Henderson advanced to third base. The next at-bat,
Joshua Tayman added yet another RBI to his column this season as he put one deep enough into center field to score Henderson from third base. The top of the sixth inning is when the Big Blue took the final lead of the game as Roman Moore would drive in the go-ahead run to make the score 3-2. Austin Stambaugh held the Trojans off for the last two innings to cap an electric complete game victory as he only allowed two runs on four hits. What was a solid game from
Jeremiah Hardy will unfortunately be in the loss column for him as he struck out four and allowed three runs.

Game 2
Bluefield State wasn't messing around in game two as the Big Blue scored 4 at the top of the first inning thanks to a Ty Sizemore single that brought in a pair. Later that inning, an error that allowed two more to score and make the score 4-0. Following three walks to load the bases, Tanner Brandon spun on a fastball and sent it over the left field fence for a grand slam to make the score 8-0 at the top of the second inning. After BSC scored six more runs, Virginia State showed some fight at the bottom of the sixth inning as Tayman belted one into the gap of left center for an RBI. The next at-bat,
Emmett Jefferson singled into left field to bring Russell in to score. The Big Blue scored one more at the top of the seventh inning to make the final score of game two 15-2.
