The VSU women's basketball team prepares to host Virginia University-Lynchburg in a midweek matchup. Virginia State has made steps in the right direction winning their first game of the regular season 72-36 against Penn State University Greater Allegheny. While the Trojans lost their next game, they came back from a 25-point deficit to only lose by three points to Alderson Broaddus University.

  • The Trojans overcame a 25-point deficit to take the lead 83-82 with :35 left to go in the game.

The Trojans currently lead the series 2-1 along with a 2-0 home record. The Trojans won the last matchup 77-62 as Autumn Hopson scored a season-high 21 points while Chiqueria Cook grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
