Trojans Compete in ECU Pirate Invitational in Preparation For CIAA Championships

ETTRICK, VA – The VSU women's Cross Country team competed against seven division one teams in the ECU Pirate Invitational CC 6K Meet. The Trojans placed ninth scoring 247 points on the afternoon.

 
Alandina Hyppolite was the first Trojan to finish the race as she crossed the finish line at 27:00.7 with a 7:14.7 mile split, which placed her in 62nd place of 102 competitors.

 
Kyera Frank was next for the Trojans as she finished in 67th  place posting a 27:56.1. Manuela Deigh crossed the finish line less than a second behind Franks at 27:56. 6, which placed her 68th. Not far behind Deigh came Ruby Williams who strolled in at 28:00.2 giving her a 69th place finish. Manuelene Deigh finished a minute after her teammates at 28:40.9 that placed her in 75th.

 
Next up for the Trojans Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will be the 2021 CIAA Championships on October 28 in Salem, Virginia.
