ETTRICK, VA – The Virginia State Women's Cross Country team finished in third place Wednesday afternoon at the Bowie State XC Classic.
The VSU women's Cross Country team earned 48 points, which placed them in third of four team for the day.
Jordan Burzynski was the first Trojan to finish the race as she crossed the finish line at 22.45.8 with a 7:19.6 mile split, which placed her in 6th place of 20 runners
Sydni Patterson earned her season's first personal best finishing her race in 22:46.1, which gave her a 7
th place finish, right behind Burzynski.
Alanni Cannon finished a place away in 9th after she ended her race in 23:56.0, which shattered her previous personal best by nearly four minutes.
Scheleck Laraque finished her race in 24.48.3 which, gave her a 12th place finish.
Bahiyyah Barnes was not too far behind as she was able to place 14th posting a 27:43.1 finish which is also a personal best for her.
The Trojans Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will be back in action October 15 as they get ready for a trip to Greenville, NC to compete in the ECU Pirate Invitational.
