ETTRICK, VA (February 20, 2019)- The Virginia State University women's basketball team faced the Bulldogs of Bowie State University for the Trojans final regular season home game and Senior Night. VSU fell short of a victory over BSU with a final score of 43-33.

GAME OVERVIEW
After starting off with the first basket of the contest, the Trojans took a 7-4 lead over the Bulldogs to wrap up the first quarter. VSU maintained a strong lead for the majority of the second quarter with a score of 11-6 going into the second media timeout of the contest. The Bulldogs took a quick lead of 14-11 before leaving the court for halftime.
The second half ruled in favor of the Bulldogs as the Trojans worked to regain their lead. VSU managed to tie the game 29-all with 9:04 left in the fourth quarter. BSU went to the line, cutting the tie and eventually taking the overall 43-33 victory.
GAME LEADERS
Chrisanna Green led the charge for the Trojans with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Pere Alexander and Kyaja Williams were the lead scorer for the Bulldogs with 18 and 12 points respectively.
UP NEXT
The VSU Trojans will travel to Lincoln, PA to take on the Lions of Lincoln University on February 23, 2019. Tip-off is set for 2pm.
