IN BRIEF: The Trojans fell to the Builder (14-6, 9-2) of the Apprentice School at home this afternoon. The Trojans jumped out to an early lead in game adding two runs in the first inning. The Apprentice school then answered adding seven runs in the third inning to take the lead. The Trojans then added four more runs throughout the remaining innings. The Apprentice school added another seven runs to secure the 14-6 victory.
In game two The Builders enter the competition with a mission securing an early 5-0 lead in the second inning. VSU answered with adding two runs in the third inning. The Builders added four more runs in the remaining innings to secure the 9-2 victory.
With the loss, the Trojans will look to regroup as they prepare for the 2017 CIAA Baseball Championships on May 4-6 on the campus of Virginia State.
