Scouting the Trojans
The Trojans enter this weekend after snapping a six-game winning streak after falling 7-4 against the Cavaliers of University Virginia at Wise in the final game of last weekend series. Leading the Trojans is senior catcher
David Markins who was selected as Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in last weekend's series. During the three games, Markins led VSU with a .545 batting average with 6 hits, 2 homeruns, and 5 RBI's.  He currently leads the Trojans with a .528 batting average, 5 homeruns, 23 RBI's, and 49 total bases. On the mound for the Trojans is
Gerald Taylor who has pitched a team high 29.1 innings, striking out six batters and holds a 3-0 record in games pitched.
