Box Score BOWIE, Md.- Taking the court with skill and confidence, the Virginia State University volleyball team easily defeated the Bowie State University Bulldogs in three quick sets (25-9, 25-6, 25-9) on September 22.  
 
Sophomore Miya Jones led the team with 11 kills while senior Alexsys Pullen and sophomore Sydney Uko both followed with 7 kills each.
 
After a few ball handling errors for the first few points of the game, the Trojans were able to quickly regroup and dominate the rest of the first set keeping the Bulldogs at only nine points. For sets 2 and 3 the Trojans started out strong and kept the momentum going throughout the game.
 
Junior setter Miranda Bass finished the night with 14 assists and senior libero Adriana Hazou finished the night with 7 digs.
 
The Trojans advance to a 7-4 record and will take on the Virginia Union Panthers this Monday, September 26 at 6pm at Virginia Union.
