Box Score 2 ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University baseball team dropped to the Bloomsburg University Huskies in a doubleheader matchup (7-2, 9-3) on March 7.
Junior
Julian White (Yorktown, VA) and senior
Jamison Griffin (Newport News, VA) gave the Trojans their 2 runs of game 1, but White was the only Trojan to earn an RBI.
Rookie pitcher
Jordan Claytor (Dinwiddie, VA) would take the 7-2 loss for VSU.
In game 2, Griffin would lead the Trojans with 2 runs while sophomore
Devin Walker (Portsmouth, VA) came home with a single run. White, junior
Tashaun Taylor (Richmond, VA) and senior
Corey Grant (Dinwiddie, VA) each earned an RBI.
The Huskies would dominate the field until the top of the final inning, defeating the Trojans 9-3.
VSU will be back in action on Wednesday, March 9 in Florence, SC to take on Francis Marion at 6pm.
