Baseball Falls to Mercy After 9 Innings

Box Score ETTRICK, Va.- The VSU Trojans baseball team took a 9 inning loss to the Mercy College Mavericks with a final score of 10-1

Rookie Aaron Harris (Atlanta, GA) gave VSU their only run of the game giving junior Tashaun Taylor (Richmond, VA) an RBI.

Senior Corey Grant (Dinwiddie, VA) took the loss after pitching 5.1 innings allowing 8 hits and 5 runs.

The Trojans will regroup for the remainder of the season after securing their first win over the Mercy Mavericks.

VSU will take the field on Monday, March 7 for a double header matchup against Bloomsburg University beginning at 1pm at the Whaley Colbert Field.
